Big supporter of black owned businesses. Food was on point! Good portions and very well seasoned Whoever in that kitchen, they doing their thing! I had the catfish, mac-n-cheese, and collard greens and my son had the crabcake sandwich. Was a little disappointed by the 18% service charge then an expectation to tip. Before getting the bill I was planning to give a 20% tip. Sorry, slight L on that one but I do recommend the restaurant. Looks like they be grooving in there at night Good luck and thanks for the great food.

I really don't do reviews but this place deserves! Would give this place 10 stars! The service was great! The food was AMAZING! My husband and I dined in during our short trip from NYC and the food was really good. The food was GREAT portions. The ambiance was cute. I had lamb chops which came with rice, and my sides were mac and cheese and broccoli. Hubby had lump stuffed chicken (crabmeat chicken) with rice, mac and cheese and the potato salad. Everything was SO SO good. Truly can't wait to visit Baltimore again just so we can dine in our new favorite spot.

The food here is excellent. I came in town for a Mariah Carey concert at the stadium down the street. I walked in at 6:59pm on a Saturday and the place was empty so no reservation needed. I am confused why it was so empty because the food here is amazing, seriously. I ordered the catfish, greens, and Mac and cheese. Everything was flavorful. I prefer my food hot and fresh out the grease and this was it!!! My food was exactly that, hot and fresh, I was impressed the woman who served me was nice and patient. My plate was 40 but after taxes, 18% service charge and an extra 5 tip, I spent 55. 2 things I disliked—-I was told the server gets a percentage of the 18% service charge. This made me want to tip more. Most places, when the charge a service charge of that nature, the suggested additional tip amount printed on the receipt is usually examples of 3%, 5%, 7% - not 15%, 18%, 20%. That’s outrageous. you charged me 18% service charge and you’re suggested tip amount at the bottom of the receipt is just as much. I paid 55 for service, greens, catfish, mac. Yikes. I do believe something has to give there or maybe just visit the place when you want to splurge. The only other thing I will say is that the service is very very slow. I know the place is empty but they get mobile orders——but dang, it took me almost 40mins to get my food. Having said all of this, I would come again. The food was amazing. 5/5. I don’t live in Baltimore but I’ll keep it in mind next time.

Peace and blessings! Stepping into this establishment was like walking into a vibe. The lower light atmosphere set the tone for an intimate and relaxing experience, perfect for a date night or just unwinding with good company. The ambiance felt warm, welcoming, and intentional—truly a space where culture meets comfort. Now, the food? Absolutely worth talking about! Every bite was seasoned to perfection, with flavors that told a story of love and care in the kitchen. It’s the kind of meal that reminds you of Sunday dinners, but elevated to a whole new level. The service was top-tier. The staff was attentive, kind, and made you feel like family. Although there was a bit of a wait, it only built up the anticipation, and let me tell you, the food did not disappoint. Patience was rewarded with every bite. If you’re looking for a place that checks all the boxes—great food, soulful atmosphere, and excellent service—this is it. Support Black businesses and treat yourself to this gem. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Took my wife out tonight and drove from Delaware to Baltimore to try out this place and we were both amazed! Service was good but the food was excellent. Everything from the catfish to the whiting, Mac and cheese, yams, collard greens delicious!! We were sad they ran out of the potato salad but I can understand since everything else was so good I’m sure that was too lol. We will definitely take the drive back to Miss Carters place soon.
